In-Home Training In Summerlin: What It Actually Looks Like

No, you don't need a home gym. Yes, it still works. Here's the real setup, session, and result.

The #1 question I get from Summerlin homeowners: 'Do I need to build out a home gym?' The answer is no. Not even close.

The equipment I actually bring

  • Adjustable dumbbells (5–75 lb)
  • One kettlebell your size
  • Suspension trainer + a door anchor
  • Long resistance band + a mini band
  • A single mat
  • A timer and a notebook

That's it. That fits in a car. It will build every square inch of muscle a non-competitor needs.

What a Tuesday session looks like

  1. 5 min: mobility flow while we talk about your week
  2. 15 min: heavy compound — goblet squat, DB press, or single-leg hinge
  3. 10 min: superset — row + core, or press + carry
  4. 5 min: finisher — kettlebell swings, sled push in the driveway, or step-ups on the front porch
  5. 5 min: cool-down + program the week
"The best gym is the one you're already inside of."

Why Summerlin specifically

Summerlin homes are built for this. Big kitchens for real food. Garages that stay under 90° with the door cracked. Long driveways for sled work. Backyards for carries. The infrastructure is already there — most people just haven't been shown how to use it.
