Online Coaching For Touring Musicians (From Someone Who Actually Does It)

Buses, green rooms, hotel gyms with three broken machines. A program that survives the road.

I coach touring musicians. Front-of-house, artists, band, crew. The problem is never motivation — these are some of the most disciplined humans alive. The problem is that every day looks completely different, and most fitness programs assume every day looks the same.

What breaks on tour

  • Sleep — bus calls, time zones, adrenaline crashes
  • Food — catering roulette, late meals, no groceries
  • Training — hotel gyms with 40-year-old machines, or nothing at all
  • Cortisol — travel, noise, no privacy, no downtime

The 3 pillars I build every tour program around

1. A 20-minute floor

Every artist gets a 20-minute body-weight-plus-band session they can do in a dressing room, a hotel room, or on the bus. When everything else falls apart, this holds the line.

2. Two 'anchor' lifts a week

On days with a real gym (day-off cities, better hotels), we hit two heavy lifts. That's it. Enough stimulus to keep strength, short enough to survive a soundcheck day.

3. A non-negotiable protein floor

A daily protein number the artist hits before anything else. Not perfect macros — a floor. It's the single biggest lever for body composition and energy on the road.

Why online works better than a local trainer for touring

A local coach can't program around a Tuesday in Cologne and a Wednesday in Berlin. An online coach who's done this before can. You get one plan, one person, one thread — for the whole run.
